The Ronald McDonald House of Tulsa Opens First Ronald McDonald Family Room
The Ronald McDonald House of Tulsa hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the state's first Ronald McDonald House Family Room inside the Oklahoma State University Medical Center on November 13, 2007.

Housed in the hospital's Pediatric Unit, the Ronald McDonald House Family Room offers a place of peace and relaxation for those with a hospitalized family member under the age of 21. Unlike the Ronald McDonald House, a temporary housing facility reserved for family members of pediatric patients living 25 miles or more outside Tulsa, the Family Room at OSU Medical Center is open to all families of children being treated at OSUMC.

The Family Room is a welcoming place of comfort for families dealing with the stress of having a hospitalized child. Three dedicated employees staff the Family Room approximately 10 hours a day, seven days a week and are available to assist families visiting the room whether it is to provide emotional support or help with their daily needs.
